Our Beliefs

The Bible
We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God and the final authority for faith, doctrine, and Christian living. It reveals God’s character, His plan of salvation, and how we are called to live.
2 Timothy 3:16–17
One God
We believe there is one God, who has revealed Himself as our Father, in His Son Jesus Christ, and as the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ is God manifested in flesh. He is both God and man.
Deuteronomy 6:4, Ephesians 4:4-6; Colossians 2:9; I Timothy 3:16.
Sin & Salvation
We believe all people have sinned, but through Jesus Christ, salvation is offered by God’s grace. We receive salvation through repentance, baptism in Jesus’ name for the forgiveness of sins, and the gift of the Holy Spirit. Through salvation, we are forgiven, made new, and restored to God.
Romans 3:23; Romans 6:23; Acts 2:38; Acts 3:19; Ephesians 2:8–9; John 3:5
Repentance
We believe repentance is the first step toward salvation. Repentance is a sincere turning away from sin and a turning toward God. It involves a change of heart and mind that leads to a transformed life. Through repentance, our sins are forgiven, and we begin a new walk with God.
Acts 2:38; Acts 3:19; Luke 13:3; 2 Corinthians 7:10; Proverbs 28:13
Water Baptism
We believe baptism by immersion in water in the name of Jesus Christ is essential as part of the salvation experience and a public declaration of faith in Christ.
Acts 2:38; Acts 8:16; Acts 19:5; Romans 6:3–4
The Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit is God actively working in the world today. The infilling of the Holy Spirit empowers believers to live a godly life and to be witnesses of Jesus Christ. The initial physical evidence of receiving the Holy Spirit is speaking with other tongues.
Acts 1:8; Acts 2:4; Acts 10:45–46; Galatians 5:22–23
Christian Living
We believe believers are called to live a holy life that reflects God’s character. Through prayer, worship, obedience, and love for others, Christians grow in grace and become more like Christ.
Romans 12:1–2; Colossians 3:17; 1 Peter 1:15–16
The Church
We believe the Church is the body of Christ, made up of believers who are called to worship God, grow in faith, serve others, and share the gospel with the world.
1 Corinthians 12:27; Ephesians 4:11–13; Matthew 28:19–20
The Return of Christ
We believe Jesus Christ will return to take His church and that there will be a resurrection of the dead and a final judgment. The righteous will inherit eternal life, and the unrighteous will face eternal separation from God.
1 Thessalonians 4:16–17; Revelation 20:11–15; Matthew 25:31–46
